Class of 2025 Ceremony Dates Announced

We are excited to announce the dates for the Class of 2025 commencement ceremonies.

An email was sent to all Class of 2025 students on September 4 with this information:

  • Spring Commencement will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025 - 1:00pm
  • Summer Commencement will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2025 - 2 ceremonies - 10:30am and 3:00pm (Schools to be announced at a later date)

Ceremony details will be updated here and sent to students via email when available. We encourage you to use this site to answer the most commonly asked questions.

Why the decision to host commencement on Thursday's this coming year?  In looking ahead at the calendar, our target dates conflicted with significant religious observances. After considering many options, the university has decided to schedule commencement ceremonies to take place on campus as noted above.

The ceremony is managed by the University Events team. We will send information about ordering caps and gowns, tickets and more in the months prior to your ceremony via student's Wentworth email and also post details here.

The most commonly asked question - how many tickets does each student receive? Students can order up to 4 guests tickets (the student does not need one, nor do any guests under the age of 6 in their family). Tickets are free. Since commencement is held in a temporary structure, we are issued an City of Boston occupancy permit which limits our capacity. Every student deserves to have family and friends attend to celebrate their success! We understand every family has different circumstances but we cannot exceed our capacity. More info will be sent out when ticketing opens.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  1. Sep 13

    December Grads - Application Opens on Leopardweb

    In order to be cleared to participate in your graduation ceremony, you must complete the graduation application via Leopardweb by October 25, 2024. Visit the graduation requirements site for more information.

  2. Sep 23

    Spring and Summer Grads - Application Opens on Leopardweb

    In order to be cleared to graduate and participate in your commencement ceremony, you must complete the graduation application via Leopardweb. 

  3. Oct 25

    DEADLINE: DECEMBER GRADS - COMPLETE APPLICATION TO GRADUATE

    Visit the Leopardweb and complete the application to graduate whether you plan to walk in the April ceremony or not. Visit the graduation requirements site for more information.

  4. Apr 17

    EVENT: Spring Commencement - 1:00pm

    Spring Commencement will take place here at Wentworth in a climate controlled tent.

    The ceremony will begin at 1:00pm and will be available via livestream for those who cannot attend in person. Commencement is a ticketed event. 

    The ceremony is expected to last approximately 1 1/2 hours and will be followed by a post-commencement reception on the Quad for photos with family and friends. Light refreshments will be served.

  5. Aug 14

    EVENT: Summer Commencement - 2 Ceremonies

    Summer Commencement will take place here at Wentworth in a climate controlled tent.

    There will be a morning ceremony beginning at 10:30am and an afternoon ceremony beginning at 3:00pm. The events will be available via livestream for those who cannot attend in person. 

    Each ceremony is expected to last approximately 1 1/2 hours and will be followed by a post-commencement reception on the Quad for photos with family and friends. Light refreshments will be served. (Specific details will be updated here on which schools will be in each ceremony when available.)

Summer 2024 Post Commencement Information

Congratulations Class of 2024 Summer Graduates:

Here is information and contact for questions you may have after graduating on August 17th!

Diplomas - your diplomas will ship in approximately 6-8 weeks once grades have been finalized. Questions about your diploma send mailto:graduation@wit.edu.

Transcripts - If you need a copy of your official transcript please review this information on how to place your order. Your first order is free. 

Senior Portraits - Grad Images, the official portrait photographer, will send proofs to students wit.edu email and/or mailing address. You can purchase your portraits directly from the vendor. Visit Grad Images website  and enter your name, your school name and your class year to view your photos on-line. Questions, please contact the vendor directly.

Commemorative Program Book - The digital version will remain online and the link will be posted after commencement. If you want a commemorative print version, be sure to order by the deadline. Once the link is available, we will post it here.
