Is College Still Worth It?

A lot of high school students are asking the same question. With the rising cost of higher education, it's more important than ever to make a smart choice of where to go to school. On average, college graduates earn significantly more over their lifetimes than those with only a high school diploma, which can offset the upfront tuition costs in the long run. With our approach, Wentworth prepares career-ready graduates who can start working and earning in their industry immediately.

By offering STEM degree programs focused on hands-on problem solving inside the classroom, and incorporating industry work experience—Co-ops—into your education, Wentworth aims to provide the highest return on your valuable investment. Additionally, every student who applies to Wentworth is automatically considered for a merit scholarship and the Class of 2028 received an average of nearly $30,000 in scholarships and grants. That's education that's worth it!

Hands-on Learning

Wentworth is built on a legacy of hands-on learning. Students immerse themselves in their discipline by creating and building solutions, whether hooking up a working electrical circuit or delivering a business plan. You will be immersed in team- and project-based learning, more than likely in one of more than 60 learning laboratories on campus or individual studio space for Architecture and Design students.

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

Courses across various disciplines foster critical thinking by challenging students to assess information, evaluate arguments, and apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Collaborative projects enhance problem-solving skills, as students learn to communicate effectively, manage conflicts, and integrate diverse perspectives.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship and research are key to improving our lives and driving economic growth. Wentworth students engage with faculty in applied research and many publish research findings and present at conferences. Accelerate, our student-driven entrepreneurship center, allows you to research, design, build, and refine your innovative ideas and solutions.

The Power of Co-op

Gain real-world, hands-on experience working for industries related to your major. Spend two semesters outside of the classroom in some of the country's top organizations and get paid a competitive hourly wage, instead of paying tuition. By partnering with employers that are leading industry organizations, Wentworth's co-op program lets students find solutions to real-world problems while working in their chosen fields and fostering valuable professional connections that are crucial to success in the modern workforce.
