Wentworth is built on a legacy of hands-on learning where students immerse themselves in their discipline by creating and building solutions, whether hooking up a working electrical circuit or delivering a business plan. You will be immersed in team- and project-based learning, more than likely in one of more than 60 learning laboratories on campus or in individual studio space for Architecture and Design students.

Wentworth students solve real problems using the most advanced techniques of today.

Entrepreneurship & Research

Entrepreneurship and research are key to improving our lives and driving economic growth. They are also both great ways for students to solve real problems where the answers can't be found in the back of a textbook.

Students have the opportunity to engage with faculty in applied research. Many end up with published research findings at conferences, often the only undergraduates in the room and winning best papers in their categories. There are many formal and informal opportunities to bring your ideas to fruition for a potential business. The 75,000-square-foot Center for Engineering, Innovation and Sciences is home to Accelerate, our student-driven entrepreneurship center, as well as 45 labs, project rooms, and collaboration spaces, and more than $1 million worth of state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation. Here you can research, design, build, test, and refine your own innovative ideas and solutions.

Community & Service Learning

In a very real sense, the City of Boston is Wentworth’s classroom. And it is all easily accessible, right outside the door, waiting to be discovered. Students accept hundreds of co-operative education (co-op) assignments in the city, building strong resumes while developing new skills and highly marketable expertise. The university’s undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members and alumni can be found all over Boston, using their hands, doing, and making, creating and learning with their colleagues and classmates.
