General Policy for Gifts In Kind

Any property manufactured for commercial use, services provided by companies, or used furniture, equipment, or materials sought to be donated by companies or organizations at their full value or at a discounted rate, may only be accepted upon prior written approval of the Vice President of Institutional Advancement or his/her designee.

Upon approval, Wentworth will provide the donor with the following documentation:

  • Cover Letter
  • Gift Agreement
  • IRS Form 8283, as requested

A description and the fair market value of all donated property must be provided by the donor to Wentworth.

Companies and organizations that have recently donated gifts-in-kind to Wentworth include:

  • Argos
  • Avi-Pro
  • Brigham and Women’s Hospital
  • Motus, LLC
  • Shimadzu Scientific Corporation (pictured above)
  • Showmotion, Inc.
