Cindy Stevens
I am an educator. I believe that learning is life-long.
I received my Ph.D. in Technology Management, at Indiana State University. I received a Master's in Technical & Professional Communication from East Carolina University and I earned my Baccalaureate Degree in English from Hilbert College. I just recently completed a Certificate in Facility Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
I teach an array of management, communication, project management, and computer information system courses, including: Communication Strategies, Group Processes, Project Management, Operations Management, Leadership, Principles of Management, Introduction to Management, ePortfolio Development, Prior Learning Assessment, Decisions Analysis, Research Methods, Technology Management, Technology Assessment, Technology Transfer, Management Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Design, Professional Communication, Technical Communication, Impacts of Technology, Future of Technology, E-commerce, Internet Research Methods, Web Development, Interactive Media Design, and Introduction to Computers & Programming. I also teach graduate level courses in Operations Management, Project Management, MGMT, CM, and FM Capstone, and more.
Recently I was the Interim Dean from Sept 2020 to April 2021 at Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA. My temporary role as as Interim Dean during our school wide restructuring included supporting the highest quality educational programs for the School of Management and coordinating the development of and implementing the University’s Vision and Goals related to four foundations: inclusive excellence, high-value learning, exceptional student experience, and strong partnerships with the industry, the community, and the alumni. Provide academic leadership and report directly to the provost. I was responsible for, but not limited to, academic planning, enhancement of programs, curriculum, teaching, scholarship and service, accreditation, recruitment of faculty, faculty development and evaluation, student recruitment, advising, budget development, and allocation of resources.
For several years, I was a Technical Writer for Prentice Hall on a contractual basis, planning, writing and editing technical manuals and computer textbooks. I also work periodically as a training consultant developing, planning & implementing specific software training seminars, leadership training, and planning facilitated meetings.
