Boston Transit Leader Patrice Recognized for Transformative Work

Desiree Patrice (center) was given the 2024 Women Making Transportation History Award

Wentworth Institute of Technology alumna Desiree Patrice was recently honored with the 2024 Women Making Transportation History Award from COMTO Boston (Conference of Minority Transportation Officials). She is the chief of Integrated Transit Programs. 

Desiree was recognized for "her enduring dedication to public service and exceptional leadership and impact in the Capital Transformation of transit programs. These efforts have improved transportation in Boston while ensuring all are valued, respected, and part of an equitable and inclusive community."  

General Manager Eng gave remarks and MassDOT Secretary Tibbits-Nutt presented the award during COMTO Boston's Celebration of Women in Transportation event on May 30 at the State Transportation Building. 

Patrice graduated from Wentworth in 1998 with a degree in Civil Engineering.
