The new department chairs of Wentworth’s Interior Design and Architecture programs are creating a lot of enthusiasm on campus for the specializations they bring to the university.

Seunghae Lee is an expert on devising accommodations and devices to help the elderly live better lives. Mark Mulligan is a practicing architect and a scholar of contemporary Japanese architecture and urbanism.

Mulligan arrived at Wentworth in May; Lee is expected in July. Each has established a reputation for excellence in both academia and design practice.

As the pastor of Eliot Congregational Church in Roxbury, Evan Hines has been looking at creative ways to save his beloved church.

Wentworth community members were thinking globally when they gathered to help raise funds for middle and high school UN Education programs.

Wentworth's Department of Management has signed a memorandum of understanding with European Business School (EBS) Paris, a leading business school in France, according to Len Delosh, chair of the Department of Management.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. 12th District, has invited Wentworth’s Allison Lange, assistant professor of history in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, to a May 21 reception at the Capitol to mark the 100th anniversary of the House of Representatives passing the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Passed by Congress on June 4, 1919, and ratified almost 100 years ago on Aug. 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment, “made voting restrictions based on sex illegal, which helped secure women the vote,” says Lange.

Wentworth Institute of Technology Director of Athletics Cheryl Aaron announced this week that Men's Outdoor Track and Field will become an official sport in the spring of 2020. 

"As the Wentworth Athletic Department continues to expand, sponsoring Men's Outdoor Track and Field is a seamless fit to our intercollegiate opportunities," said Aaron. "Our current and future track and field students will now have the opportunity to compete in all three seasons, further developing their athletic identities."

Sitting in Willson Hall just prior to the start of another semester, the staff of Accelerate, Wentworth Innovation + Entrepreneurship Center were ready for a new semester. Having secured a major partnership with Workbar, and found success with another ThinkTank event, the team was geared up for a host of fall programs.
