Researchers from Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Construction Management and MIT’s Center for Real Estate reported the results from their study on net-zero building codes and housing affordability at a recent briefing for Massachusetts policymakers at the State House.  

Seeking climate change solutions, the world’s largest sustainability tour is coming to Wentworth Institute of Technology. 

Wentworth Institute of Technology has been named one of Money Magazine's "America's Best Colleges" for 2023.  

The latest issue of the TAD Journal, titled "Tectonics," explores the intersection of structure and construction in the age of digital fabrication and emerging materials. Guest-edited by Wentworth Institute of Technology Professor Anne-Catrin Schultz, the issue features research from around the world that challenges traditional understandings of tectonics. 

John Cribbs has been appointed the new dean of the School of Management. 

Cribbs is currently serving as the associate dean of the School of Management and is also an associate professor of Construction Management. 

The School of Science and Humanities Dean's Office sponsored trips this month for students in Professor Ella Howard's Boston History classes to study LGBTQIA+ history at the Gibson House, a historic house museum on Beacon Street.  

Jovanny Lamisere, a 2018 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, has been named a "Rising Star" by the New England Real Estate Journal (NEREJ). Lamisere is currently a senior assistant project manager at Lee Kennedy Company, where he has worked for five years. He is also a local Boston resident. 

The short documentary "Daughter of Rubens," produced by Wentworth Institute of Technology Professor Gloria Monaghan, has been accepted into the prestigious Provincetown Film Festival. The film focuses on the life and work of artist Nancy Ellen Craig, who resided in Truro, Mass.

The work of a professor does not simply take place within the confines of a classroom. It is a complex role that entails conducting research, remaining up to date on the latest trends and technology, and being attuned to matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as often providing student services, engaging in community outreach, and promoting economic development.

The university was founded in response to the skill gap brought about by the Industrial Revolution and things have come full circle as industry is faced today with a skill gap in a number of fields that make up the fabric of Wentworth’s academic portfolio.

A number of Class of 1973 alumni gathered in Watson Auditorium on May 20 to be honored for their time at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and to mark 50 years since graduating. Some have gone on to successful careers in engineering, business, and other fields. Others have stayed connected to their alma mater through industry partnerships or gifts over the years.

In a significant stride toward promoting diversity and excellence in architectural education, Wentworth Institute of Technology has announced the establishment of the Genevieve McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation Fund.

A snow-removing Roomba, hazardous area robotic arm, and a sewer inspector are among robots created by teams of Wentworth Institute of Technology students and professors.  

The projects—overseen by Professors Bo Tao and John Voccio within the School of Engineering—are recent examples of the robotic wizardry that Wentworth students have been creating.  

The new Robotics Lab has opened to students on the Boston campus of Wentworth Institute of Technology, with new equipment arriving regularly. 

As Wentworth Institute of Technology students prepare their underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) for competition next month, we chatted with Assistant Professor Saurav Basnet about his role in advising the team.  

Wentworth Institute of Technology student Andrew Hogan has developed a path planning program that can be used to simulate the movement of search and rescue robots in hazardous environments. The program, which is based on a visibility graph, can be used to generate safe and efficient paths for robots to follow in areas with static and dynamic obstacles.

Wentworth Institute of Technology has introduced scholarships for robotics enthusiasts in the upcoming Fall 2023 admission cycle. These scholarships reflect Wentworth's commitment to fostering and supporting students with a passion for robotics and technology. 

A book co-edited by Wentworth Institute of Technology Professor Ronald Bernier sets the theoretical frameworks and interpretive strategies for exploring the re-emergence of religion in the making, exhibiting, and discussion of contemporary art.
